The marinades on this page are designed to work with any of our tumblers but especially our small table top units such as the Flavor Maker
F-8 and
F-15 which are ideal for the home meat processor. You can also use these marinades for soak marinating. Each marinade jar has directions for tumbling printed on it. To use mix the marinade with water and then placed with the proper amount of meat in your tumbler. After drawing a vacuum (18" to 22" Hg. is usually sufficient) let the tumbler run for 20 to 30 minutes. All the liquid should have been drawn into the meat, creating a juicy, tasty cut of meat ready to be cooked.
These marinades can be used with a tumbler and any type of meat you desire. Works great with beef, pork, venison, poultry, fish. . . any meat product! Make your own fresh corned beef and pastrami. Make your own fresh jerky.
Why tumble? Using these marinades in a tumbler is simply the best way to get a flavor profile (marinade) into the meat. The vacuum helps "open up" to meat muscle to accept the flavor and water. Tumbling gives you a larger pick-up of water and spice - 10% or more compared to 1% to 2% pick-up when soak marinading for 48 hours. The added water guarantees your meat is juicier when cooked. It will also cook faster than non-tumbled meat. And if you do over cook it, it still does not dry out like non-tumbled meat.
We have 19 different varieties of tumble marinades for you to choose from. Just add the stated amount of seasoning from the jar to the amount of water (ice water preferred) called for on the label, mix well and put in tumbler with the desired amount of meat. Draw a vacuum, turn on the tumbler and get ready for the best steak, chicken, etc. you've ever had!! Each marinade recipe shows the amount of seasoning used for each pound of meat.
