Flexible Packaging
When it comes to shrink wrapping, the first question you will need to ask is "Does my product need a food safe bag?" If you are packaging any foods, soaps, dental, or medical supplies; you will want to use polyolefin material. For all other uses such as DVDs, CDs, Books, or any paper or plastic items; you can use PVC material.
How to determine the bag size you need:
Measure the item you wish to package around its widest point. Then, add 10% to the number and
divide by 2 to determine the width of the bag. For length of the bag
measure around the package's tallest point, add 10% to the the number,
then divide by 2.
Shrink bags are easy to use!
- Place product in bag.
- Cut-off and seal opening of bag with an impulse sealer. Be sure to "pull" on product and bag while cutting so the bag separates easily.
- Shrink the bag with a heat gun or with a shrink tunnel and you are done! It's that easy.
