Sealing coffee beans or coffee grounds can be tricky for two reasons. One, gas emitting from the beans can cause normal bags to swell and burst. Secondly, coffee bags are gussetted bags which means that there are four layers of material to seal through. To solve these problems, we carry pouches can be purchased with a one-way degassing valve. These valves help allow the natural build-up of carbon dioxide in freshly roasted coffee to escape while preventing oxygen, light or moisture into the bag. We also carry constant heat sealers which provide a consistently high heat from both jaws to seal through the multiple layers.
